Qualifying Event: Thursday 3rd June 2010
The second qualifying event of the 2010 Financial Times Business Championship took place at Woburn Golf Club's Dukes Course on Thursday 3rd June.
It was perfect golfing weather with the sun shining throughout the day and the golf course was immaculately presented.
Early starters Bewick Homes raced into the lead with a total of 81 points, 8 points ahead of closest rivals Norfolk N Chance. Bewick Homes look forward to an expenses paid trip to finals in October, hosted by the stunning Quinta do Lago Resort. Bairds Malt finished in 3rd place with a total of 72 points. The top 3 teams received prizes from Inkerman's crystal collection.
Bryce Collishaw from Numark Chemist won the Nearest the Pin competition on the 3rd Hole, a signature hole on the Dukes Course, and took home an Odyssey Backstyke putter. Craig Scott from Bairds Malt won the Longest Drive and was awarded a Callaway Diablo hybrid.
