Full Event Report

The 8th event in the 2010 Financial Times Business Championship was hosted by The Berkshire Golf Club on the Blue Course.  Despite the forecast, the weather was reasonably kind to competitors with just a couple of short showers.

It was a high scoring day with a number of pairs scoring in the 40s.  Oscar Jacobson took the lead early on posting scores of 48 and 43 to give a total team score of 91, which looked good enough to win.  However, in the final groups to come off the course, Bovis Lendlease stole the limelight scoring a fantastic 98 points in total, of which a record 52 points were scored by the A Team, taking them into 1st place and winning them a trip to Quinta do Lago to the Grand Finals.  Finishing in 3rd place after a card playoff with TJM Developments were Moneybookers on 77 points.  The top 3 teams all took away prizes from Inkerman's Crystal Collection.

Nearest the Pin was a closely fought contest won by David Murdoch from TJM Developments who finished 2ft 6 inches from the hole.  David took away an Odyssey Strykeback putter.  Longest Drive was won by Jonathan O'Neill from Thompson Bros who won a Callaway Diablo Hybrid.

Many thanks to all teams who took part in the day including Towers Watson, Askis and Monarch.

There are still a very limited number of teams available in the 2010 series, for more information please contact ISM on 01565 832100.
